The acute febrile infectious disease caused by infection of the causative bacteria, formed emphysema by wound infection in the muscle, resulting in toxaemia by the toxin. The infection mainly in cattle, sheep and sometimes even infection in pigs . Type of soil oriented disease and the incidence of disease is low, but high mortality.

1. Agent
Clostridium chauvoei, Gram-positive bacilli is 1 or 3-5 chain structure. Forming a peritrichous flagella and motile, spore is ovoid at middle or the end and has no capsule.
